Few full-service hotels in major U.S. cities can rival the Hilton Nashville Downtown in location and legacy. Opened in 2000, the property has anchored the Music City’s entertainment district for over two decades, but it hasn’t rested on its laurels. A multi-million dollar renovation was completed in the mid-2010s, which transformed the hotel with redesigned rooms, an expanded fitness center, and a sleek New York Italian restaurant style ambiance.

As an all-suite luxury hotel, every room at the Hilton offers spacious accommodations, ideal for travelers seeking comfort and room to unwind. It made me feel like we we’re staying in a well-designed luxury apartment and not just another hotel room.
Location
The hotel is located on 4th Avenue in the heart of downtown Nashville. Steps from the Bridgestone Arena, it’s ideal for catching a hockey game or concert without a commute. Country music fans will appreciate having the Hall of Fame just across the street, while Broadway’s legendary honky-tonks and live music venues sit a mere block away. Its prime location makes the nightlife feel less like an outing and more like a continuation of the lobby.
Parking
On-site, valet parking is available for $61 per day. Unless you’re going to take day trips outside the city, you can definitely get by without a car in Nashville.
Lobby

The lobby is more than just a check-in point, it’s a destination. With a soaring atrium ceiling and glass elevators that frame the scene, the space feels grand yet grounded. Guests can relax in plush seating clusters, sip craft cocktails at the Symphony Lounge, or grab house-made pastries at the Ground Up coffee bar. Even the boutique retail store adds charm with local goods and travel essentials.

Executive Lounge
As a Hilton Diamond member, I had access to the Executive Lounge, which is tucked just around the corner from the check-in desk. The snack selection was modest, mostly fruit, nuts, and other nibbles, but the complimentary bottled water and sodas were a daily win.

One of the more interesting touches? A separate room within the lounge that could be closed off for a little extra privacy. Inside were four cozy chairs and a TV, perfect for unwinding away from all the buzz.
The Room
Our room was a spacious, well-appointed suite, with some a separate living area and privacy door. We were upgraded to an exterior suite with a view of the Walk of Fame park.

Upon entering the room we found ourselves in the living area. At its center is a sleek L-shaped gray leather sofa with vibrant orange accent pillows. The coordinating armchair and glass-top wooden coffee table complete the seating area, creating an ideal zone for conversation or relaxation.

Across from the couch is a sleek entertainment console in warm wood tones, topped by a large flat-screen television. The living room also has a desk for getting work done and entry to the bathroom. The bathroom has a second entrance from the main bedroom as well.

Stepping behind and veering left past the entertainment console is the bedroom.

This serene room continues the hotel’s elegant comfort. A king-sized bed is the centerpiece, backed by a sophisticated headboard that pairs rich wood with soft, upholstered panels. The textured wall behind the bed adds even more depth.

The Bathroom
The bathroom continued the look of sleek luxury in a compact, functional layout. A wide, illuminated mirror spanned the wall above a dark stone countertop, offering a stylish backdrop for the built-in sink.

The glass-enclosed shower featured a rainfall showerhead and three mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Positioned discreetly beside the shower, the toilet blended seamlessly into the room’s clean lines and neutral palette.
Hotel Amenities
Amenities include multiple restaurants, a bar and lounge, a cafe, a fitness center and a retail shop.
Dining
Trattoria Il Mulino
The acclaimed Il Mulino restaurant group brought one of their flagship NYC concepts to Nashville in 2015. Trattoria Il Mulino has a casual, lively “see-and-be-seen” atmosphere where guests can experience local flavors, contemporary favorites, and tried and true classics.
MarketStreet
Located in the lobby atrium, the MarketStreet Restaurant offers both a-la-carte and buffet breakfast daily.
Symphony Lounge

A spectacular grand staircase majestically surrounds the Symphony Lounge in the center of the lobby atrium. Serving lunch and dinner every day, this is a great spot to enjoy an evening cocktail. With seating at both the bar and in the lounge area, there’s plenty of room for even the largest of groups.

GroundUp
The GroundUp Coffee Cafe, located directly behind Symphony Lounge in the lobby, specializes in brewing Starbucks coffees, cappuccinos, and espressos. They also serve home-made pastries and sell bottles of wine, soda or anything else needed to start the day or cap the night.
Bottom Line
The Hilton Nashville Downtown blends luxury, location, and legacy in the heart of Nashville. With spacious all-suite accommodations, a dramatic atrium lobby, and proximity to top attractions, the hotel feels more like a sophisticated residence than a standard hotel. Recent renovations bring modern elegance and stylish gathering spaces, making it an upscale home base for both leisure and entertainment.
